A note from the Sellers: When looking for a new home, it was hard to leave behind our secret garden, redwood tree, and kitchen beds—perfect pandemic living with two young kids. But then we wandered onto Magnolia Street, lined with tree canopies and a stone’s throw from parks, cafes, the Uplands trails, and our children’s school. The petite backyard suddenly didn’t matter (aside from the fresh lemons, of course). We found ourselves in the front yard, chatting with neighbors and watching the kids bike with the dog in tow. The Elmwood neighborhood—with its quirks, staircases, flora, and history—proved to be just what we were looking for. And the house? A stately brown shingle blending architectural charm and light-filled comfort. Original wainscoting, leaded glass, box beam ceilings, and built-ins bring warmth, while the eat-in kitchen opens to the yard. Upstairs: 4+ large bedrooms, generous closets, and a top-floor rumpus room. So many possibilities, including space for a second bath or a dream yard. Near College Ave—walk, roll, or ride.
